The ChORUS Medical Professionals Guide provides medical professionals not only with resources to help integrate driving safety into patient encounters with older adults, but also information and referrals that can help connect patients to additional supports and solutions that will allow them to drive safely as long as possible. Resources includes handouts for clients and overview of the impact of medical conditions on driving.

Occupational therapy practitioners who address driving as part of their practice will greatly influence the peace of mind, safety and independence of various patients and their families.
While the role between the OT generalist and OT specialist varies, it is within the scope of practice for all occupational therapy practitioners to address this valuable instrumental activity of daily living.
